Eileen Mayo's Rare and Endangered Birds of Aotearoa New Zealand brings together 30 beautifully reproduced bird paintings originally created for collectible Gregg's Jelly Crystals cards in 1976. Mayo's precise, elegant illustrations are paired with updated notes on each species, turning the collection into both a poster book and a small record of New Zealand natural history.

Key features

  • 30 large colour bird images printed on art card and designed to lift from the binding.
  • Features native species including kōtuku, kākāpō and mātuhituhi.
  • Bird texts by Marie Darby and John Darby have been updated for this edition.
  • Includes an introduction to Eileen Mayo and her art.

A particularly good Aotearoa gift for bird lovers because the images work equally well as a complete collection or as individual pieces for framing.
